What is the differance between shampoo,shower gel and washing up liquid?

I guess it depends on the brands. You could probably use most of these interchangeably. I am particular about my hair though--wouldn't use just anything there.What is the differance between shampoo,shower gel and washing up liquid?

The scent and amount of moisturizing compounds mainly, they are all 'soap' in one form or another.
Shampoo is for washing hair...


Shower gel is for your body...


and believe it or not washing up liquid is for washing up
