um...no sweetie? Can you use shower gel as shampoo?
I would not. It would damage your hair. if you do try it..do not use alot. Can you use shower gel as shampoo?
It doesn't wrk as well for me. The next day my hair feels greasy.
Only if it specifically says it can be used as shampoo. Otherwise it will leave your hair greasy.
if you have to
sure...any kind of soap.
If you're in a desperate mess, yes. Just don't tell that William Slut from AAGM. He will totally humiliate you on you tube.
You can, but I wouldn't make it a common practice. It's not made for getting oil and products out of your hair, and it may dry it out a little bit, or leave it a little bit oily.
You can of course! It's really the same thing, but usually some added things in shampoo, like panthenol or silk proteins, etc. A body wash will work in a pinch no problem! It won't hurt! Of course if you have colored hair or any special needs, it won't really address those things. But on a camping trip or somthin, it's fine to use!
Sometime you gotta do what you gotta do! But dont expect the same results as shampoo.
Technically you hair, skin, and nails have the same Ph factor,so Anything you use on you hair you should be able to use on your skin, But not a bath or shower gel. Professional products like Paul Mitchell's shampoos and conditioners you can use on your hair and skin. Keep that in mind for future reference.
some of them yes, but i've only seen it with ';axe'; and other guys shower gels. probably not great for longer hair.
and the regular ones will probably dry it out. as far as i know
yup, so long as you use a conditioner as well. but if you have really dry hair, it may not be a good idea.
yes, i have used hand soap as shampoo when I run out of actual shampoo. It may make your hair a little drier until you get some real shampoo. Just use extra conditioner after you use the gel. Good Luck !!!
no.
You probably could it's probably just as harsh as shampoo itself. Shampoo is a harsh detergent! Most soaps are basically just Sodium Lauryl Sulphate and a bunch of synthetic scents and artificial colors. You could just use a light conditioner or some baking soda and that would clean your hair just fine.
This is the ingredients in shampoo. Feel free to compare it with your shower gel.
Chemical content of shampoo
Following are just a small sample of the toxins found in most shampoos and their detrimental side effects.
? Alcohol, isopropyl (SD-40) is a very drying and irritating solvent and dehydrator that strips your skins moisture and natural immune barrier, making you more vulnerable to bacteria, molds and viruses. It is made from propylene, a petroleum derivative, and is found in many skin and hair products, fragrances, antibacterial hand washes as well as shellac and antifreeze. It can act as a carrier, accelerating the penetration of other harmful chemicals into your skin.
It may promote brown spots and premature aging of skin. A Consumers Dictionary of Cosmetic Ingredients says isopropyl alcohol may cause headaches, flushing, dizziness, mental depression, nausea, vomiting, narcosis, anesthesia and coma. A fatal ingested dose is one ounce or less.
? FD%26amp;C color pigments are synthetic colors made from coal tar, containing heavy metal salts that deposit toxins onto the skin, causing skin sensitivity and irritation. Absorption of certain colors can cause depletion of oxygen in the body and death. Animal studies have shown almost all of them to be carcinogenic.
? Mineral oil is a petroleum by-product that coats the skin like plastic, clogging the pores. It interferes with skins ability to eliminate toxins, promoting acne and other disorders.
? Propylene glycol (PG) and butylene glycol are petroleum plastics which act as surfactants (wetting agents and solvents). They easily penetrate the skin and can weaken protein and cellular structure. Commonly used to make extracts from herbs, PG is strong enough to remove barnacles from boats!
? Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) are detergents and surfactants that may pose serious health threats. They are used in car washes, garage floor cleaners and engine degreasers and in 90 percent of personal care products that foam. Animals exposed to SLS experienced eye damage, depression, labored breathing, diarrhea, severe skin irritation and even death.
If you want i wouldnt say anything
I wouldn't. I did one time on accident and it made my hair all greasy and gross looking. Later I figured out what I did wrong. I'm the blondest brunette you'll ever meet. =]
Probably...but why would you want to?
No but they have some body washes that are two in one, shampoo and soap.
Not if you want nice hair (barring that it's a 2-in-1 product)
Not really. If you are in a bad situation and you are desparate...that may be ok once or twice, but not in the long run.
Body gels have a different formulation because the body has a different molecular structure than your hair. So the best case scenario would mean that you buy a shampoo for the hair and body gel for the body.

no, i wouldn't do that...just use regular shampoo.
no
Yes, you can use shower gel as shampoo. You can also use shampoo as shower gel. You can use them both to do your dishes and vice versa.
Yes ! some of them are combination body %26amp; hair. Those are safe to use for your hair.
not always but in case of emergency YES. shower gels contain sodium lauryl sulphate, the same ingredient found in the shampoos which makes it OK to use but it lacks other mosturising ingredients which r specially found in shampoos
I find only works with shower gel from The Body Shop, anything else makes my hair too dry. Always use conditioner!
