I have very complicated hair .. good shampoo/gels/tips for my hair? Please! :)?

Okay, Well, my dad has straight hair and my mom has thick, curly hair.

I got a mix between them both... so my hair is thick, and straight at the top, but the ends naturally curl in. (Which is NOT how i want them! I want them STICK straight, especially at the ends)

When I hairspray my hair, it doesn't stay in place (straight) because the ends are curling in within 20 minutes, and even when i use herbal essences straight, or pantene pro v 18 hours straight, it doesn't make a difference. My hair does well to stay the way I want it for ten minutes.

The other problem is my split ends... my hair is getting a little damaged from all the blow-drying and straightening, but i have no other option. I have to wash my hair in the morning, because even though it has a dry-ish texture, it gets oily VERY VERY quick.

I'm getting a new straightener for christmas, so this problem may be eliminated when i get a better straightener and serum to protect my hair with, but what can I do until then?

Shampoo suggestions for thick, rebellious hair that will NEVER stay the way I want it to without fuss?

omg im the same as you!

my father has straight blonde hair and my mom has thick curly black hair

so the top of my hair is straight and the bottom is wavy/curly

this is what i do...

i bought a chi flat iron, and so far its working really well, and that hair flat iron is supposed to be the best on the market and protect your hair

i use herbal essence hello hydration shampoo and conditioner, and then i deep condition with aussie 3 minute miracle. then i let it airdry, and i wrap it around my head so some of the waves flatten in the morning. then i run the flat iron in my hair, with heat protection, and then put a little hair spray and frizz spray.

also, those straightening shampoos dont really work. i think if you dont want to fuss with your hair you should think about getting a japanese perm.
