You need professional products not the cheap drug store ones, Joico is an excellent brand, they have a line called K-pak it's for damaged hair and it works extremely well because they have actually human hair keratin in it. That is what your hair is made out of. Just be prepared for the price, for just the shampoo and conditioner your looking at at least $20-30.
Look for a sulfate-free shampoo, they're less drying and won't fade your color as quickly. I don't have a favorite brand, but brands from salons are usually better than the ones you find at drug stores and walmart. Go to a salon you trust and ask them to recommend something.
