Can shower gel/body wash be used as shampoo?

ummm unless you want to end up picking out all your hair from the drain.. I mean... unless your a guy... it wouldn't matter... might as well just use a bar of soap..Can shower gel/body wash be used as shampoo?
Yes, it can, especially if you're male and/or don't worry so much about having perfect hair. If you're female and/or you do care about drying out your hair or not having it be fluffy enough, I'd say stick with actual shampoo. If it's an emergency and you're out of shampoo, it would probably be better to just rinse your hair and put conditioner in...unless your hair is really dirty for some reason (like you rolled in mud or something). But if you're not overly concerned about your hair and would prefer it to be clean, you can use body wash instead of shampoo in an emergency. Don't do it on a regular basis. If your out of shampoo for a day, sure.. I had bought a shower gel/body wash once and it did say you could shampoo your hair with it. But most aren't for double duty..... For the kids line---there are many..

yeah i have done it in a pinch. i would not do it all the time but once in a blue moon is not bad.
No its not made for this-but guys will use it for this and soap bars!

Philosophy puts out one that u can use for all body, hair and skin really really pricey.
i accidentally did that once and all it really did was make my hair smell really good. i wouldn't recommend doing it on a regular basis though cause it's not meant to go on your head. i think (and i'm just basically bullshitting but i might be right) that it would strip too much oil from your hair because it's designed to clean skin and whatnot. that would mean your hair would be dry and gross. :)
No. That's why they call it BODY WASH! But if must you can but it may do some damage.
Unless it says so, its not intended to be used for both. The only brands that I can think of that are dual purpose are Philosophy, Axe and Old Spice, but I'm sure there are others.
